Skin

My mother is taking a writing class, and called me last week and needed skin pictures of Andrew and Alexa for a writing project.  So . . . I took them.  I thought again, "My mother is so unusual sometimes."  Except that after I took them, I realized . . . I simply love the pictures of Alexa's skin.  No wonder she had me do this!  Her skin is sweet, and baby-ish, and Lord knows, I don't have much more time of her skin like this. 

This is one of my favorite spots to kiss on. 


Won't lie- I still chomp on her thighs sometimes.  Just cause their so chomp-able

And so after all that sweet, soft skin here are the knobbiest, skinniest, boniest legs!

Let Me Count the 13 Ways . . .

Today is mine and Doug's 13th anniversary. As we were sitting at dinner I was thinking, "Man is this night a LOT different than this night 13 years ago." Here are 13 ways my life is different than 13 years ago. 1. My muscle tone- particularly around the midsection. 2.  My hair which has more grey, but yet it is still so much better!  ("wisdom" and vanity cause me to spend ridiculous amounts of money on hair products- more than I spend on clothes) 3. Wedded Bliss . . . Ten Years Later

Yep.  Doug and I have been married TEN years!!!!  Can you believe that?  Well- not quite ten years, yet.  On Thursday- April 7- it'll be TEN years!!!!  And I am pretty sure we still love each other. I know I still love Doug and quite honestly- how could he not love me?  I am never a pill and always a delight.  In honor of our almost anniversary- I am including a copy of the email I sent my mother raving about him, after our first date- with hardly no editing and only a few comments in parenthesis.  Enjoy: Mom!!!! (I loved exclamation points way back then, too)   I went out tonight with a guy from school.  He's a teacher.  (let me clarify that I was also a teacher).   He's not married (thank goodness) and he's SUPER nice.  He's an Agriculture Education teacher- think Future Farmer's of America (uhhh- ok?!!)  But, anyway, he sat with me at the football game the other night, and tonight after che...

He's Got Her Back

Sometimes I wonder if Andrew will actually look out for Alexa.  Mostly he just seems to look for ways to aggravate the *&%^ out of her, but every now and then he indicates that he does have her back- if she needs it. I remember one time we were doing some yard work in the back yard.  Alexa was super little- like sit her on a blanket and she didn't move- little.  He was supposed to be keeping an eye on her, because I was helping Doug take a tree down.  He suddenly started screaming.  He was panicked because . . . Alexa had done some rolling and maneuvering and face planted in some dirt.  Andrew apparently thought she was going to die.  Hey kid, "Dirt Don't Hurt!"  That was the first time I was reassured that he would save her- if he had to. Another time she had somehow gotten herself in a spot, where she was pretty close to the edge of something off the ground.  Andrew freaked then too.  Freaking isn't exactly the reaction I want hi...
